Frannie
This is Frannie. She is a 9 month old German Shepard mix. We found her when she was just two months old. She was wondering the streets on a rainy night when she was nearly hit by a car. She found a place in all our hearts very quickly with her sweet and loving personality. Frannie is a very expressive puppy who is stubborn and energetic. Until recently, Frannie has always loved going on walks a jogs and playing soccer. We noticed her energy level decreasing and with that came a limp. We brought Frannie to a vet who did an X-Ray. It was discovered that Frannie has severe Hip Dysplasia. Frannie has no cartilage between her leg bone and hip, therefore whenever she walks her leg bone scrapes against her hip causing severe pain. Frannie has been put on two medications to help with pain and inflammation. They have helped relieve some of the pain but the only way to get her better is with surgery. The vet gave us two options, a total hip replacement for both hips or an FHO surgery. FHO is when he doctor removes part of the leg bone so it no longer touches the hip bone. Due to finances we have chosen FHO surgery. Still, even with it being the less expensive of the two, we are having trouble getting the money for her surgery. We are looking for donations to help give Frannie the surgery she needs. Anything from a dollar or more would be helpful. If you have any questions contact me at:
